D&D Community Video Intern
(Summer 2026)

About the Team

Dungeons & Dragons is seeking a Community Video Intern (Summer 2026) to help craft scroll-stopping short-form and bingeable long-form video series for D&D players across our owned channels.

The Internship Experience
This internship is for a creative, video-first storyteller who wants hands-on experience shaping content for one of the world’s most iconic fantasy brands. You’ll concept, shoot, light, and edit for YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, creating videos that feel organic, community-driven, and unmistakably D&D.

You’ll collaborate with social, brand, product marketing, and creative partners to support always-on content, episodic series, and major announcement moments. If you love fantasy storytelling, and you want to make content that helps players feel seen, inspired, and ready to roll initiative, this is your quest.

What You Will Do

Content Creation & Production

  • Concept, produce, shoot, light, and edit high-quality short-form and long-form video content optimized for YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

  • Develop and support recurring video series tailored to core D&D players, balancing evergreen storytelling with timely cultural moments.

  • Capture live-action, tabletop, interview, and behind-the-scenes footage as needed.

  • Support the full video production lifecycle from pre-production through final delivery.

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of how graphic elements, sound design, and visual enhancements can elevate overall production quality.

  • Ensure all video content aligns with D&D’s brand voice, tone, and visual standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with social strategists, product marketing, brand, and community teams to align content with key beats and launches.

  • Present concepts and edits to stakeholders, incorporating feedback thoughtfully and efficiently.

  • Help track timelines, feedback, and deliverables while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Inform partners of emerging social trends and creative opportunities relevant to D&D audiences.

What You Will Bring

Experience & Technical Skills

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Film, Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Demonstrated ability to shoot, light, and edit professional-quality video content independently.

  • Required proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop (or equivalent professional editing and design software with comparable capabilities).

  • Experience creating social-first video content for platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram.

  • Portfolio or reel showcasing short-form and long-form video work.

Platform & Audience Fluency

  • Strong understanding of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and evolving creator culture.

  • Instincts for hooks, pacing, visual storytelling, and viewer retention.

  • Ability to translate brand messaging into content that feels authentic and community-driven.

Intangible Skills

  • Creative curiosity and excitement about social storytelling.

  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with a strong eye for composition, lighting, pacing, and tone.

  • Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Nice-to-Have Capabilities

  • Genuine love of Dungeons & Dragons, tabletop RPGs, fantasy entertainment, and gaming culture.

  • Experience editing gameplay footage or tabletop sessions.

  • Familiarity with motion graphics or After Effects (or similar software).

  • Experience building episodic content formats or creator-driven series.

  • Familiarity with online communities in the TTRPG or fantasy space.

If you’re excited about spending your summer creating content that inspires players, celebrates imagination, and helps bring D&D to life across every scroll, we’d love to add you to the party.
