We are seeking a Community Growth Manager to spearhead efforts in building a vibrant, engaged community of small eCommerce merchants. You’ll play a vital role in creating strategies to drive member engagement, host impactful events, and strengthen our community across both digital and physical spaces.

Core Functions

Community Engagement & Growth

  • Build & Foster Community: Cultivate thriving online and offline communities on platforms like Facebook Groups, Slack, Discord, Reddit, and Substack.
  • Drive Engagement: Develop creative strategies to encourage organic community growth through private conversations and social interactions.
  • Facilitate Connections: Lead discussions, answer member questions, and create opportunities for members to share their experiences.

Event Planning & Activation

  • Plan & Execute Events: Host engaging webinars, workshops, and networking events (virtual and in-person) that connect community members.
  • Collaborate with Experts: Work with influencers and industry leaders to deliver valuable content and experiences for members.
  • Interactive Engagement: Organize innovative experiences like challenges and Q&A sessions to foster interaction.

Content Creation & Amplification

  • Develop Resonant Content: Create impactful content tailored to small eCommerce merchants, including blogs, case studies, and video reels.
  • Leverage Social Channels: Maximize engagement through Instagram and TikTok content creation.
  • Encourage User Participation: Inspire community members to generate content and share their success stories.

Community Moderation

  • Maintain a Positive Environment: Monitor platforms to ensure a supportive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Empower Moderators: Train community ambassadors and moderators to facilitate conversations and address issues proactively.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Track Community Metrics: Analyze engagement, growth, and member feedback to measure impact.
  • Iterate Strategies: Refine community approaches based on performance data and member insights.

*Other Responsibilities: This role will occasionally require travel, 1-2 trips per quarter for events.

What You Bring

Experience in Community Management: Ideally 5 years of experience in managing online and offline communities, preferably in eCommerce or tech. However, we’re excited to hear from all candidates who demonstrate a passion and aptitude for this role.

Social Media Mastery: Skilled in leveraging platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and dark social channels for organic growth.

Event Planning Skills: Strong background in organizing events that drive engagement and value.

Content Creation: A flair for storytelling and creating content that resonates with diverse audiences.

Analytical Mindset: Proficient in analyzing community data and translating insights into actionable strategies.

Passion for People: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build genuine connections.

We understand that each individual brings unique skills and experiences to the table, which is why our salary ranges are tailored to the role, level, and location of the job.
