Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Business Process Owner. This position can be based remote within the United Sates.


As a part of its' digital productivity strategy, the Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division (EESSD) has invested into an Enterprise Systems Integration team to drive consistency within a distributed workforce and increase capacity in support of anticipated rapid growth.  


The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year.

What you’ll do:

  The Business Process Owner serves as a key member to executing that strategy by serving as the primary liaison between Operations and IT with three primary objectives:

(1) Support the deployment and adoption of Enterprise Systems within EESS 
(2) Deliver enhancements and/or new functionality that drives capacity, efficiencies and/or revenue  
(3) Mitigate agile system risks through constant collaboration with global, cross-functional peers

Equally important, this role is responsible for providing a high-level of user support through the creation of training documentation and/or conducting training sessions, capturing and communicating best practices, driving adoption and Organizational Change Management efforts.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DIMENSIONS

  • Build a strong understanding of Eaton Enterprise System functionality (e.g. Oracle, UKG Dimensions, Salesforce, SAP, Configuration / Quoting Tools, Vista, etc.) and the EESS organization to ideate on how how business processes can be improved and business problems or risks eliminated through the use of existing or enhanced Enterprise System functionality
  • Be responsive to requests for support from existing users through engagement in our various support mechanisms including, but not limited to, Viva Engage, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint and phone calls
  • Responsible for managing business requirements from creation through adoption.  This includes:
         -    Collaborating with stakeholders to identify business requirements by leading process/value stream mapping, interviews, process walks/observations, workshops and more
         -    Challenging current state business processes to drive global standardizatoin and eliminate technical debt
         -    Documenting business requirements in a standard format, clearly articulating the problem statement and expected benefit
         -    Prioritizing business requirements based on anticipated value the functionality will deliver to the business, such as cost out/cost avoidance, revenue generation or Net Promoter Score/user experience improvements
         -    Aligning with other Business Process Owners globally on business requirements that drive standardization and mitigate risk in shared tools
         -    Collaborating with IT Product/Capability Owners, Business Analysts, Architects and Developers to refine a detailed solution in order to get the user story to a state where the requirement is ultimately ready for users in Production
         -    Performing robust quality checks on new development in test environments to ensure business requirements are met, bugs are resolved and new risk is not generated
         -    Communicating anticipated change to a varied audience of stakeholders through Release Notes, Newsletters, presentations, training and more
         -    Measure and drive adoption across the user base through data/metrics and a change management plan

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum two (2) years of Project Management experience
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • Must reside in the United States

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Project Management (PMP, CAPM, etc.) and/or Lean certifications (Green Belt, etc.)
  • Two (2) years experience working with field services
  • Experience with Lean methodologies
  • Experience leveraging change management methodologies such as ADKAR
  • Experience with Agile software development approaches and tools such as Atlassian Jira or Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, Vista, UKG Dimensions and/or Configuration/Quoting tools
  • Experience with the Field Service application within Salesforce
  • Strong knowledge of field service business processes
  • Strong knowledge of time entry tool(s) & procedures
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Be a champion of change
  • Displays passion for continuous improvement and solving complex problems leveraging digital tools  
  • Ability to listen and empathize with users while delivering transparent communication
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to drive effective understanding of content to a wide variety of audiences
  • Ability to gets results through others by partnering and collaborating with various stakeholders
  • Comfortable with managing through ambiguity
  • Resilience to overcome obstacles and challenges in achieving desired results in projects that may last multiple years
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills, including documentation, effective time management and task prioritization
