ABOUT THE TEAM
Basis Technologies' Talent and Development (T&D) team works to make our organization an engaging, inclusive home for Beeps to develop their careers and create positive change in the ad tech industry. T&D is made up of four collaborative teams: Talent Acquisition (recruits’ top talent for Basis), Talent Operations (provides benefits, payroll, perks, and a system support for Basis), Education and Development (leads training and education for Basis employees), and Talent Strategy (heads up professional development, management resources, and employee relations). Collectively, T&D is determined to bring the Basis Manifesto and guiding principles to life through our culture and practices. This team cultivates Raving Fans by constantly ideating on how to ensure every current and prospective employee receives the best experience possible.

This role reports to and works closely with the Manager, Business Partners, and specific business groups to create the best employee experience possible for Basis employees.

WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE

  • Advising managers through complex employee and performance situations, offering balanced recommendations that consider what is best for the employee and Basis, with a focus on building a strong culture, increasing employee engagement, and enhancing accountability.
  • Acting as a consultant to the business on how to best align talent to achieve short- and long-term strategic business goals as part of our annual merit cycle.
  • Consulting with business leaders on workforce planning and how best to align human capital and resources in order to achieve both short and long-term business goals.
  • Guiding managers in the decision-making process of talent movement and following up to help them drive their action plans forward following those decisions. Managing talent movement for your business units and communicate accordingly to your Manager and the Talent Coordinator assigned to those businesses.
  • Facilitating the performance and merit processes for your business units. This includes job profile audit support, PAD testing and data validation, coaching on philosophies and processes, as well as guiding the business to make compensation decisions that align with our compensation philosophies and allow Basis to retain top talent.
  • Providing a venue for employees to provide feedback and express concerns to help build an open communication environment.
  • Proactively working on retention plans with the business, meeting with Beeps as needed for stay interviews or to gauge engagement and create an action plan to retain.
  • Assisting with and delivering new manager orientation to build a strong foundation for new managers at Basis.
  • Assisting and leading special projects, including but not limited to: performance management, employee/manager training, employee survey initiatives, communications projects, turnover analysis.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • 2+ years experience supporting agency or in-house paid media teams in an HR capacity
  • Confidence and a positive, calm demeanor
  • Ability to influence decision-making.
  • Confidence to challenge conventional thinking.
  • Curious and pensive. You ask great questions.
  • Observant and a strong listener. You’re able to gauge both spoken and unspoken conversations.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information, strong ethics, and integrity.
  • Ability to manage time between reactive and proactive priorities as they arise.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and credibility with leaders and managers.
  • Experience and demonstrated proficiency in applying HR-related legal and compliance knowledge to various business scenarios.
  • Ability to work autonomously and at a fast pace; initiative and results focused.
  • Communication is #1 in this role. Communication with the business, and communication with our internal T&D team.

BONUS POINTS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate degree in business, Human Resource Management, a related field or equivalent education required.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM certification preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS and benefits administration processes.
